Frank Adkins

Mr. Frank Donald Adkins, age 80, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away on January 11, 2023. He was born on July 17, 1942 to the late Julian Leonard Adkins and Elizabeth Rawls Adkins.

Don was a 1960 graduate of Springfield High School and attended MTSC from 1960-1962. He worked for the Methodist Publishing House from 1962-1964. He met his wife, Judith Peay, and they married on August 20, 1965. He later returned to MTSU in 1968 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1970. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon while attending MTSU and partnered in Quality Aluminum Service with his father in law, Joe Peay. In 1974 he went to work for DuPont, and later in 1986 went to work for Reemay Inc. until his retirement in 2001. Don was a life long member of The Methodist Church most of which was spent at Connell Memorial United Methodist Church. He was also a devoted University of Michigan and Vanderbilt fan.

Don leaves behind the love of his life, Judy Peay Adkins; son, Kyle Adkins (Jamie); grandchildren, Avery Adkins and Carson Maxwell.

A celebration of life will be held at 12pm noon on Monday, January 16th at Connell Memorial United Methodist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 10am until the time of the service.
