Elsie Mae Adams, age 73 of Chapmansboro, passed away on September 20, 2015.
She was born on September 26, 1941 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late Fred Levi and Dorothy Ingram. Mrs. Adams worked for over 30 years at US Tobacco Company.
Mrs. Adams was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and God, a devoted Christian and enjoyed giving to wonderful causes.
Mrs. Adams enjoyed traveling and would take the children and grandchildren to Florida, and the mountains. She was a very nurturing person taking care of her family and later in life her beloved dogs.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband Buford Ray Adams; son, Fred Adams; sister, Teresa Boyd and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her son, Tony Ray (Tammy) Adams; grandchildren, Tiffany Adams, Travis Adams, Freddie Adams, and Troy Adams; siblings, Pauline Binkley, Frieda McKnight, and Eva Ingram; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 2pm in the Cole & Garrett Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 2-8pm then again on Friday from 12 until the time of service.
