Elizabeth Gilbert

GILBERT, Elizabeth Jean Morris- Age 74 of Nashville, TN, passed away quietly at her home on November 3, 2007. Born November 7, 1932 in Davidson County, she is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles E. Gilbert, Sr., ; two children, Leslie Kenny West of LaVergne, TN and Charlie Kristi Gilbert of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Weldon West and Mackenna Gilbert; one brother, Robert L. Morris; one niece, Carolyn Dwight Long; one great-nephew, Chris Christy Long and two great-great nieces, Rebekah and Caitlyn Long. Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert L. and Elizabeth Morris and her brother, William Morris. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from Cohn High School in 1950. She worked as school secretary at Charlotte Park Elementary School for nearly 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends and the TSV Club. She was loved by all and will be forever missed. Funeral service will conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. James C. Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers: Henry Nichols, William Longworth, Art Willard, Steve Land, Robert Allen and Chris Long. A Special thank you is extended to the wonderful staff at hospice. Visitation with the family will be at West Harpeth Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 and from 11 a.m. until the service on Tuesday, November 6, 2007.
