Edyth Wilson

WILSON, Edyth Claire, 93, of Goodlettsville. Born May 25, 1915, went to be with the Lord and Savior February 28, 2009. Preceded in death by grandfather, William Padgett; parents, Andrew & Mattie Lee Wilson; sisters, Marie Wilson, Gladys Hart, Amna Kresse & Edna Richardson; brothers, A.J. & Sidney Wilson. Survived by nephews Tom Hart, Rick Kresse & Sidney Kresse; son & daughter by choice, Melvin & Diane Scott; grandchildren by choice, Wendy Bilyeu & Donnie Scott; great grandchildren by choice, Tommy Hunter & Delaney Bilyeu. Graduated from Hume Fogg High School. Retired as the first woman Linotype operator at E.T. Lowe Publishing. She managed and lived on the Wilkress Family Ranch in Goodlettsville where she raised , trained and showed horses. As a member of Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church she was faithful to God, Family and Friends. In recent times, she enjoyed playing cards with friends at Sterling House. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7pm. Services will be 1pm Tuesday at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Vickers officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
