Edward Capps

CAPPS, Edward Elliott, age 88 of Nashville, TN. Passed away on July 27, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. V.V. and Ora Capps and son, Robert Paul "Ed". Survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Alice; sons, Kenneth Rice (Terri), and Joseph Edward (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Risa Capps; grandchildren, Kim (David) McAlister; Sarah (Trevor) Mathieson, Rebekah Capps, Catherine Capps, John Michael (Helena) Capps, Stephen Capps, and Mary Grace Capps; great-grandchildren, Andrew McAlister, Ashlyn McAlister, and Hannah Mathieson. Ed's family was very special to him and most importantly his 3 daughter-in-laws. Ed was a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in electrical engineering. Prior to graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy. Ed was district manager for Phillips Medical Systems for many years. He was an active member of Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 3-6pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Visitation Monday July 29 from 12-1pm with funeral services at 1pm with Rev. Tim Gates, officiating. Entombment Spring Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Nashville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene.
