Edith C. Kleam, 88, of Goodlettsville passed away Monday, October 26, 2020. Born in Goodlettsville, August 3, 1932, Edith was the daughter of the late Dillard Hicks and Bernettie Lee Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, George, Mary Frances "Fran" and Paul. Survived by her sister Ruth. She was educated in Millersville schools and graduated from White House High School. She later attended Nashville Business College. As a young woman, she moved to Michigan where her sister, Fran and her husband Joe resided and went to work as an office administrator for R. L. Polk & Company. While in Detroit, she met and married her husband of 65 years, Vern Kleam. They returned to middle Tennessee 33 years ago where they settled in Goodlettsville. Edith was a member of the Millersville Church of Christ. She enjotyed shopping and also loved gardening and flowers. In addition to her husband, Vern, she is survived by her children, Mary Kleam (Carl Battishill), Scott (Sue) Kleam, Douglas (Linda) Kleam, and Sandra Giuffre; 7 grandchildren, Kali, Logan, Andrew, Samantha, Nick, Madison, and Benjamin; and her loving dog Biscuit. A graveside service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Friday at 1 PM.
