Duke Evans DeBois passed away on July 24, 2010 at age 45 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sheri DeBois, who devotedly cared for him during his illness. Duke is survived by his parents, E. Louis DeBois and Marlene DeBois and three sisters - Melissa Jones, Michelle Eskew and Mary Bertucci. Duke had three nephews and a niece: Matt and Nick Jones who were his godsons and William and Erin Eskew. Duke worked at LPS Integration as Business Development Partner. He felt a strong affection for his co-workers there. In addition to his sales acumen, he was known for his culinary skills, acting as head chef for LPS Integration's frequent grilled lunches for employees and customers. Duke also loved art, music, boating, fishing, chess, bridge and traveling. He indulged in everything he did with enthusiasm. Duke and Sheri enjoyed many weekends on their houseboat at Lake Dale Hollow, cooking and chatting with friends. Duke loved his family and enjoyed meeting for holiday and summer get-togethers, captivating everyone with his storytelling and sense of humor. Duke grew up in New Orleans and attended Jesuit High School, attended Oklahoma State University and resided in the Nashville area since 1996. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the YMCA. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
