Dorothy Wimberly

WIMBERLY, Dorothy "Dot"Age 79 of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away Sept. 2, 2009. Born Dec. 27, 1929, in Putnam County, Buffalo Valley, TN. Daughter of the late Martha Pippin Flatt and Eli Flatt. Preceded in death, in March 2009, by her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles Dalton Wimberly. Survived by sons David (Patty) Wimberly and Billy (Pam) Wimberly; granddaughter, Sara (Clay) Harris; two grandsons, David and Kyle Conley; two great-granddaughters, Victoria and Graeson Linton; great-grandson, Caleb Harris; sisters, Mattie (Van) Wheeler and Ella Sherrill. She was a retired Nashville Metro Gov't Employee, homemaker, gardener and a member of Ivy Point Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Ivy Point Church of Christ and friends. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville on Sunday, Sept. 13th , 2-6 p.m. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14th with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating.
