MURRELL, Dorothy Bentle Monday, August 29, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Vergil O. Murrell, Jr.; daughter, Theresa Ann Murrell; parents, Herman & Clara Bentle; sister, Virginia Baker. She is survived by her son, Vergill O. Murrell III and his wife Lisa; granddaughter, Emily; sister, Shirley Jenkins. Dot was a member of Gleaner's Sunday School Class at Faith Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 4-8 p.m., at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church of Madison, with visitation 1 hr. prior to the service. Rev. Jerry Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dewey Burton, James Absher, Bobby Huff, Johnny Sherrell, Steve Roberts and Robert Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be the former members of Gallatin Road Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dot's name to the Building Fund for the Family Life Center at Faith Baptist Church.
