Dorothy Gayle Flanary Ensminger, age 83 of Nashville, TN, passed away June 21, 2007. She was born February 26, 1924, daughter of the late Thomas Neale Flanary and Nellie Cox Flanary. A loyal and devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Joseph "Chuck" Ensminger; brother Paul Neale Flanary; sisters Mary Thomas Flanary, Elizabeth Unland Henshaw, Jane Flanary Carroll; and granddaughter Bailey Rae Ensminger. She is survived by twin sister Randall Curley Berry; children Peggy Buzzy Orange, Nancy Rohling, Paul Sherry Ensminger of Delano, TN, Randy Sharon Ensminger, Jill Wiesman, Gary Melanie Ensminger, Kevin Ensminger of Peabody, KS; honorary son and friend Thieng Ing of Toronto, Canada; grandchildren Chad Orange, Sean Sandra Orange, Kellye Orange, Daniel Karen Rohling, Benjamin Nicole Rohling of Germantown, MD, Angela Michael Gregory, Rebecca John McCombs of Knoxville, Ad'lynn Michael Martinez of Louisville, KY, Clark Ensminger of Delano, TN, Joseph Shelby Ensminger, Amber Ensminger, Jessie Ensminger, Hannah Cody Brasher of Monterey, CA, Reed Ensminger, Dane Becca Wiesman, Linsie Wiesman, Kristi Ensminger, Lauren Ensminger, Tyler Ensminger, Taylor Ensminger of Peabody, KS, McKenzie Ensminger of Peabody KS; great-grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Zach, and Samantha Orange, Duncan, Sebastian, and Ivy Baldinger, Jack and Lily Rohling, Ally and Emma McCombs, Isabella Martinez, Gabe Ensminger, and Aaron and Gracie Wiesman. Dot's family also fondly recognizes the living and deceased members of the Bridge Club and all family and friends who have touched our mother's life in so many special ways. A funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Monday, June 25, 2007 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 535 Sneed Road, Franklin, TN, with Father James Mallett officiating, followed by inurnment at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Lane. The family will receive friends at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Sunday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Father Ryan High School Tuition Assistance Program, 700 Norwood Drive, Nashville, TN, 37204 or to St. Matthew Church, 535 Sneed Road, Franklin, TN 37069.
