Curtis, Dorothy Gann, 93, Passed away June 18, 2006. Mrs. Gann was a retired Metro. School Teacher and a Charter Member of First Southern Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Leroy W. Gann; parents, Rufus and Susie Bowling Gann. Survived by sisters, Susan G. Bennett, Marjorie G. Akin, Sarah G. Spann; brother, Rufus, K. Gann Jr; all of Nashville; niece, Kathy Anderson, Tullahoma, TN; great-niece, Sarah Elizabeth Richardson, St. Louis, ; great-nephew, Fred "Trey" Green III, Atlanta, GA. The graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Davis and Dr. Charles Thigpen officiating. Active pallbearers will be Lytle Anderson, Trey Green, Bryan Richardson, Mark Carlisle, Ron Gasser, Al Underwood and Ed Wakefield. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the First Southern Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Southern Methodist Church, 4409 Colorado Ave., Nashville, TN 37209 or the charity of choice.
