Donna Yardley

Donna Lynn Yardley, 57 of White House passed away Sunday December 5th, 2021. Born in Kingsport, TN December 29th, 1963 Donna was the daughter of Don Howell and the late Joy Harbor Cross. She was also preceded in death by her son, Cory; her step-father, Charles Cross; step-mother, Marianne Howell and a brother, Dan Howell. Donna had received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vol State University. She retired from Walmart in 2017 where she had been an office associate for many years. Her co-workers at Walmart had become an extension of her family and those connections continue today. Donna was a very giving, kind hearted and compassionate individual. She loved her family and was called “the best mom, wife and friend” by them. She and Marty married in 1987 and had two beautiful kids in 1990. She loved her animals, enjoyed the outdoors and all things Christmas. She enjoyed her involvement with “Christmas for Kids” which she had done for many years. She also liked music and loved to dance. She is survived by her husband, Marty Yardley; daughter, Megan; her father, Don Howell; and her sisters, Cara Howell and Kim Cross. A celebration of life service will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN on Friday December 10th at 7 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 until 7 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Christmas for Kids, or to an Animal Rescue / Shelter of the donors choice.
