She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 42 years, Ritchie Pond. Their anniversary being in April. Donna was a woman of strength and resilience. Her father was a member of the armed forces. Born on a US Air Force base, she moved as her father transferred bases. She would settle with her mother in Middle Tennessee after her father’s tragic passing in 1967. Donna would go on to graduate from the Hendersonville High School Class of 1977 and begin her career in banking. For 20 years she would navigate the challenges and changes that the banking industry would go through. She would witness firsthand the beginning of the online banking world and diligently helped customers navigate the issues they faced. Challenging as it was, she was always able to find the light in hard moments, often laughing as she remembered the struggles of dealing with dial-up internet.

Donna was a woman of strong Christian faith. She was a longtime member of the White House First United Methodist Church, serving several years as their church secretary, Sunday school teacher, and children’s director. Forever nurturing love and fostering respect in all of the children she crossed paths with. Donna and her husband were also members of the choir, together the two enjoyed worship through music together.

In her free time, she loved to spend time with her family. Her husband recalls her to be an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed decorating cakes in the kitchen with her family, teaching them recipes as they baked and decorated together, creating memories they will forever share. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.
