Smith, Rev. Donald Cordell , 69, October 7, 2010, survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Overton Smith, daughter Elizabeth Ashley Lindsey, David, grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, and Madison, Bowling Green, Ky, sister, Doris Mimms, Nashville. Cordell was a pastor, teacher, and administrator. He had served as Assistant to the President of Bethel University, McKenzie, Tn. He loved decorating, catering, antiquing, and fellowship with family and friends. He was everyone�s �big teddy bear.� He had served in the following churches, Sugar Tree, McIllwain, Roellen, Dickson, Erin, Dyersburg, Jackson, St Luke, Calvary, Bowling Green, Marshall, Rocky Glade, and Columbia. The service will be Monday, October 11, at 11 Am at the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 6849 Charlotte Pike, with a Gathering to follow at 12 noon. Interment at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens at 2:15 PM. Honorary pallbearers, all clergy robed, and staff and faculty of Bethel University and Memphis Theological Seminary, robed, and all elders especially those under which he had served. Active pallbearers, Chuck Smith, Jeff Smith, Randy Mimms, Jimmy Marable, Ferrell Marable, Bobby Cauthron, Phil Averitt, Prem Saran.
