Donald Matl

Donald Raymond Matl, age 64, of Goodlettsville, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on January 18, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Matl was born on November 6, 1942 to Frank and Irene Matl, and graduated from Laneri High School. Don is survived by his mother, his wife, Dixie Jackman Matl; a brother, Larry Mary Matl; eight children, Margaret Leo Gallick, Michael Matl, Michelle Tracy Hutson, Malissa Tony McDaniel, Amy R.R. Hornback, Sherrie John Strait, Kim Sutton, and Buddy Matl; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Bevington officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hendersonville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Vanderbilt Hospitality House, American Cancer Society and/or Alive Hospice.
