KELLER, Donald Wesley – passed away March 27, 2012 with his loving family there when he took his final journey home. He was born in Lancaster, PA and went to Manheim Township High School. He then went to Chicago Technical College where he received a B.S. Degree in Engineering. While in college he met his future wife Carole Korinek in 1967. They were soon married in May of 1969. He leaves behind 3 children, Candace Keller, Sean Keller Kim and Nicole Baker Carter; 4 grandchildren, Aaron Keller, Wesley Keller, Ellanore Baker and Mary Kate Baker; sister, Judy Keller of Lancaster, PA. Don retired from Lucent Technologies at 51 years of age. He bought a Goldwing motorcycle, one of his many passions, and he and Carole and another couple joined G.W.R.R.A. Over the years, Don, Carole and their very good friends toured the United States and many Canadian Providences on their motorcycles. Don was a remarkable handyman. When it came to cars, trucks, plumbing, and most anything electrical he could fix it effortlessly. He was an excellent wood Craftsman, building decks, recreation rooms, and making lovely one of kind furniture. He was a good man. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. I know he is riding the roads in heaven, on his Candy Apple Red Goldwing. It's what he loved to do best. A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Saturday March 31, 2012 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10am until service hour on Saturday. The family request flowers or donations made to Avalon Hospice 2525 Perimeter Place Dr. Suite 121 Nashville, TN 37214.
