Donald Clyde Hendricks, Sr. of Bellevue passed away peacefully on July 27, 2013. Donald "Clyde" is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marian Muncey Hendricks, daughters Peggy Myers, Patricia WendellSmith, Rebecca Jeffrey Davis, sons Donald MariellenHendricks, RobertBeverlyHendricks, sisters Diana Wolfram and Lucille Osborne. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Wendy RobertCarmichael, Paul Smith, James Nikki Myers, Chad Myers, BrannonReneeHendricks, Nick Hendricks, Stacy BrooksBoyett, Elizabeth TravisRobinson, Katherine Hendricks and Kelly Hendricks. He was blessed to have 10 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jesse, Alie, Hayley, Savannah, Isabella, Preston, Annabelle, Aubree and Charlotte - numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son David Paul Hendricks, and grandson, David Paul Hendricks, Jr.
Don was a well-respected local grocer after owning Don's Cee Bee in BelleMeade, he went on to work for several local chains until he retired at the age of 79. Don and Marian and their six children moved to the Nashville area in 1965 and from that point forward, they called Nashville home. He and Marian enjoyed Nashville Sounds Baseball, annual family reunions in Ohio and their many trips to Sanibel Island.
There will be a Memorial Service at Bellevue United Methodist Church, 7501 Old Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37221 at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 2. The family will be receiving guests for a Celebration of Life at River Plantations Clubhouse, Section 6, on General George Patton Road, in Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, tribute donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Organization at www.alz.org/tribute.
