Diane Gross

Diane Stooksbury Gross "Charlie", age 72 of Hendersonville, passed away on July 18, 2019. She was born in Oak Ridge, TN on July 20, 1946 to the late James and Edna Stooksbury. She mostly grew up in Signal Mountain, TN where she graduated from Chattanooga City High School in 1964. She then went on to Middle Tennessee State College, where she received her Associates Degree. She was employed for many years with Allstate Insurance Company. In 1997, she was promoted to Claims Representative Manager, and relocated to Nashville, TN. She was a long time member of Signal Crest United Methodist Church in Signal Mountain. Diane loved gardening, most importantly her beloved Yorkies. She is survived by her son, James Todd Gross (James Derrick Thomas), and a host of friends and extended family. A celebration of her life will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Tuesday July 23 at 6pm with visitation from 2pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society, ASPCA, or Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue.
