Diana Waters

WATERS, Diana – Age 66 of Hendersonville passed away July 24, 2013 at Elm Croft of Hendersonville Memory Care Facility. She was born August 18, 1946 in Lebanon, TN to Ramon Tarver Davis and Gwendolyn Ligon Davis. Mrs. Waters is preceded in death by her parents and husband, C. C. Mason. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, William Bill Waters; children, Melissa Murray Frazier, Old Hickory, TN; Chet Amy Mason, Gallatin, TN; Susan Mitch Painter, Hermitage, TN; Missy Steve Brandon, Knoxville, TN; and 6 grandchildren and another one on the way. Mrs. Waters graduated from Lebanon High School and Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree and later she received her Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee State University. She taught for over 25 years at Dupont Elementary School and was also an active member of Bluegrass Baptist Church for over 43 years. She had a great love cats, dogs, birds, horses, deer, and most all of God's creation. She particularly enjoyed gardening and flowers, traveling, theatre and music. The family would like to express appreciation to Gen Hewitt and the staff at Elm Croft of Hendersonville for the loving care shown to her and the family for the past 3 years. Expressions of love and sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bluegrass Baptist Church Children's Next Program or to the Mid-South Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time at Bluegrass Baptist Church 235 Indian Lake Rd. Hendersonville, TN with Dr. Alan Godwin will be officiating. Pallbearers will include family and friends with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
