Delbert Smith

SMITH, Delbert Hooper age 89 passed away on March 3, 2008 in Wilmington N.C. He was born May 19, 1918 in Hickman Co., TN. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from the Department of Transportation in Nashville, TN. He was a member of Park Ave. Baptist Church. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his Parents, Hollis and Clayte Smith, wife Gladys Smith, 2nd wife Jean Smith, oldest daughter Patricia Smith, brother, Douglas Smith, and sister, Ima Couch. He is survived by his children Alan Pat Smith of Wilmington, N.C. and daughter Brenda Bud Garrett of Jamestown, TN.; grandchildren Kim Smith of Wilmington, N.C., and Chris Smith of Raleigh, N.C., Jonathan Garrett of Jamestown, TN.; step-grandchildren, Tracy Luther Todd and great-granddaughter, Trystin Todd all of Jamestown, TN. Sisters, Jean Lewis and Audrey Yates; brothers, Samuel H. Smith and Many other relatives in Hickman Co. Graveside services will be on Friday March 7, 2008 at the Bon Aqua Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:30-8 pm at the HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 9090 HWY 100, 615 646-9292.
