David Pope, Jr.

POPE, David O. Jr. – Age 83 years, of Nashville, passed from this life August 10, 2013. He was a retired supervisor of CSX Railroad, US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of the Nashville Auto Diesel College and Nashville School of Preaching. Minister of Shoals Branch and New Hope Churches of Christ. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Jean Pope; children, Patti Russell Myers, Jamie Pope, and Janine Jim Bell; grandchildren, Jonathan Pope, Judy Jenkins, Erin Hale, Megan Madden, Justin Bell, Kari Madden, Amber Myers, and Alyssa Waldron. 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Jo Reba Cope and Jon Rhea Bowers. The graveside service will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 11am, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with Brother Clifford Dobbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Alive Hospice or the Mission Lazarus C/O Kingwood Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8pm at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME.
