CARVER, David Lee 94 of Nashville passed away September 23, 2008. He is preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Thornton Carver and his parents Price &Hattie Campbell Carver. Survived by cousins, Dartha Carver Eason and Kay Carver Hinkle. Graduated from Central High School of Davidson Co and attended MTSU. During WWII, David designed parts to be used on airplanes. He also designed and manufactured replica antique furniture with his father and they owned Carver's Antique Shop. He loved the water and enjoyed with his wife their cruiser "Mama's Mink". He was a former member of the Nashville Yacht club and served as Commodore of the Cedar Creek Yacht club at one time. He also enjoyed his large library, scrap books and giving lectures on the Civil War. Because of David's love for history and antiques, he donated a large exhibit of antique farming equipment and tools belonging to his Grandfather to Ellington Agricultural Center. During his illness David resided at different campuses of the Lakeshore Estate where he received great care and love. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Estates Alzheimer ward or the Eastland Baptist Church. Graveside service 11:30am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Johnny Knox presiding.
