Darla Kent Dorris, age 77 of CottonTown, TN, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Foley, AL. She was born on May 19, 1937 in New Matamoras, OH to the late Edna Ruth Broadhurst and Sherman Smith.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Minville "Buddy" Dorris, Jr.; aunt Gladys Amos of Ohio and step-son Minville "Bubba" Dorris, III. She is survived by her daughter Kelly (Jeff) Barrett; sister Paula (Richard) Smith, sister-in-law Genevieve Lish; step-children Tracy (Marsha) Dorris, John Dorris; daughter-in-law Marilyn (Bubba) Dorris; 6 grandchildren Lloyd Wayne Jones, III, Kayla Barrett, Shane (Cynthia) Dorris, Mitchell Dorris, Chance Dorris, Marie Dorris; 1 great grandchild AJ Dorris; niece Laura (Andrew) Sprinkles; nephew Will (Shannon) Lewis.

Darla worked many years for the late Mary Reeves at Jim Reeves Enterprises. She and her husband Buddy were the owners of Buddy's Market in Walnut Grove, TN.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in White House, TN.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 3rd at 2:00pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in White House, TN.
