Danny dedicated his life serving the many friends and citizens of the Nashville area and retired at the rank of Major after 28 years with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. He graduated from Litton High School and always remembered his mother and brother by providing for their needs and security after losing his father at a very early age. Danny also loved the role models in his life and those who helped him and his family. He was a loyal husband, father, friend and someone who could always be counted on to keep his word and do what was right. He was known as "Big Dan" to his many friends and "Big Daddy" to his grandchildren. He loved his many dogs over the years and enjoyed their company.
Special thanks to Joe Casey, Tommy Parker, Dennis Birdwell and Nina Hawk who provided him with support and everlasting friendship. Thanks to Dr. Niedermeyer, Dr. Berklacich, Baptist, Select Specialties and Bordeaux Hospital's staff for all of your care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the American Parkinson's Disease Association in his name.
