Dana Shriver

Dana Elizabeth Slate Shriver, age 85 of Cottontown, TN passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, peacefully into eternal life.

A long-time member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, as a child while her father was pastor, she returned as a member in the late 80s until her passing.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Ernest and Lillian Slate, brother Leroy, husband Kenneth Shriver, and her beloved dog Jake.

Dana is survived by her five children Dennise Stroud (Jim), Cheryl “Leigh” Webb, Christy “Beth” Thoman (Larry), Eddie Kelley (Stefanee), and William “Clay’ Cox (Yani), stepchildren Curtis Shriver and Susan Albertson, nephews David, Kendall and Kenneth Slate, niece Sonja Slate. Dana was a devoted grandmother to Daniel and Jonathan Stroud, Carson Thoman, Jimmy Nelson, Adam, Zackary, and Dane Kelley, Daniela and Jazmine Cox, and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 1:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church 7109 TN-25, Cross Plains, TN. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
