Cynthia Schulert

Cynthia Mai Schulert, age 71, passed away January 5, 2021. She was born in Nashville, TN on June 19, 1949, to the late Donald M. Huffines and Aileen Tidwell Huffines. She was also preceded in death by her infant son Johnathan. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Philip J. Schulert; sister, Donna Seigenthaler; brother, Donald M. (Barbara) Huffines; nieces Christie L. Huffines and Leslie E. Seigenthaler. Cynthia graduated Goodlettsville High School class of 1968 and from Lipscomb University in 1972. After college she taught art at Goodpasture Christian School and the Sumner County School system. Cynthia began a highly successful sales career with the Delta Foremost Chemical Company for over 30 years. Cynthia enjoyed piloting their vintage Fairchild and Champ aircrafts. She also served in the past as a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Her joy for life will never be forgotten by those who knew her. The family will have a gathering for friends and family at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville on Sunday January 10 from 1 - 4 p.m. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Benton Hall Academy, or to Vanderbilt University Covid 19 Research at www.vumc.org/coronavirus.
