Clara Winfrey

WINFREY, Clara Joy Armstrong Age 78 of Madison, passed away on October 1, 2013. Daughter of the late Leland and Athene Armstrong. Preceded in death by husband, Ray Winfrey; son, Kevin Winfrey; brother, Charles Armstrong; sister, Audrie McClain; grandson, (Little) Stevie Winfrey. She is survived by son, "Scooter" Steven (Ann) Winfrey; daughter, Tanya McBride; grandchildren, Heather (Joel) Brisson, Kristina McBride (Bryan Williams), Brandi Winfrey, Royce Winfrey, Cody Thomas-Winfrey, Gloria (Barry) Hopkins, Jill (Will) McElveen; great grandchildren, Dylan, Drew and Jace Brisson, Aija Winfrey, Blane and Logan Hopkins, Cameron and Lacie McElveen. Special thanks to her niece, Faye Ybarra. Clara graduated from East Nashville High School in 1953, and attended David Lipscomb University. Family will receive friends at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, October 4th at 2 p.m., with visitation from 12 Noon until service time.
