Charles Porter

PORTER, Charles Wesley- age 43 of Bethpage went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2013. He was a man of faith who was very devoted to his family. Charles will be remembered for his generosity and his character. He would give the shirt off his back and never ask for anything in return. He met his soul mate Linda Basham in the 7th grade and later married her. He was a loving son, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He was survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Linda Basham Porter; Sons, Charles W. Porter III, Allen R. Porter; parents, Paul and Melba Porter; sister, Lois Jeff Fuqua; brother, Paul Stacy Porter; nieces, Megan Porter, Alicia Scott, Leslie Vest; nephews, Paul Porter III, Bobby Porter, Joshua Porter, Wes Fuqua; great-nieces, Kaylynn Fuqua, Stormy Scott, Haiven Scott, Blaze Vest, Rorrey Vest; great-nephews, Colton Robison, Zach Basham, Tyler Basham; nephew, Bryant Braham; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Life Celebration service will be held on Saturday, 1 pm at Bledsoe Creek Baptist Church with Andy Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-8 pm at Crestview Funeral Home and on Saturday from 11-1 pm at the church.
