Carlos E. Broadway, 93, of White House, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Nashville. Born August 25, 1930, in Athens, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Henry Broadway and Alice Lee Goolsby Broadway.
Carlos served his country proudly as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Upon leaving the military, he worked for Metro Nashville Schools as a mechanic for their buses. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing. Carlos was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Broadway was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Emma Frances Broadway.
He is survived by his daughter Delores Rayburn; grandson Drew Rayburn; granddaughter Meredith Rayburn; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10 from 10 am until 12 pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in White House. A Celebration of his life will take place at 12 pm noon. Burial with military graveside honors will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
