Brigitte Bunce

Mrs. Brigitte L. Bunce, age 85, of Goodlettsville passed away on March 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 10, 1938 in Germany to the late Friedrich Karl Lorenz and Hedwig Emma Anna Sieglaff. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mr. Willard Bunce; two sons, Rene and Pierre Bunce; sister, Karin Hofman; and uncle, Horst Sieglaff.

Brigitte loved to knit, crochet, painting, and doing ceramic work. She was always a very crafty person. She moved to the United States from Germany in 1959 and made Middle Tennessee her home. She was a devoted Christian and told everyone she met about Jesus. One of her greatest titles was being a grandmother, “Oma” as her grandchildren called her.

Brigitte is survived by her children, Tony (Amanda) Bunce, William (Jennaffer) Bunce, and Karin (Ben) Rush; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Jürgen Lorenz; nieces, Sabine Hofmann, Brigitte Hofmann, nephew, Willard Hofmann; and Cousin, Gertrud Aiken.

A life celebration will be held at 10am, Saturday, April 8th in the chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9-10am prior to the service.
