Mr. Caplinger was active in the Jaycee's and a coach for Jnior Pro Leagues. Survived by wife of 55 years, Dean Drake Caplinger; children, Connie Caplinger, Greg Caplinger, Elaine Haas-Burnette; grandchildren, Leigh Rast, Amber Haas-Wade, Bryan Haas, Harlan Caplinger, Joseph Caplinger; beloved dog, Shorty. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME 6962 Charlotte Pike, 615352-9400
