Bob B. Villines celebrated God's gift of earthly life from March 17, 1938 to July 23, 2015.
Bob was born in Springfield, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Harriett Villines; sister, Lynne Hooper and nephew, Don Bruce Winters. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debi Pendleton Villines; three children, Marc (Erin), Cara and Jesse; three grandchildren who loved their "Pop-Pop, Brayden, Bella and Jaxon; sister, Loretta Winters; brother, Van Villines.
Bob was a professor of clinical laboratory science, teaching Microbiology and blood banking to many students throughout Tennessee. He was awarded post secondary teacher of the year for his dedication to his students. Bob worshipped Jesus Christ and he started and participated in Christian Websites. He studied the Bible daily. Bob loved music; he played the guitar and wrote songs, even winning several song contests.
Bob will be remembered for his laughter, kindness to others and his unselfishness to those less fortunate. The Villines family would like to thank Dr. W. Clark Ray for years of prayer and believing in God as the "Great Physician", also we would like to thank Dr. Toby Smith who was compassionate and caring. Thank you also to Summit Medical Center for the exceptional care and love that was given to our family. We are grateful that White House Health and Rehabilitation took "Mr. Bob" in like family and loved all of us through this difficult time.
At Bob's request, he will be cremated and have a Celebration of Life Ceremony at his home with family members, which he considered a small Christian village.
In memory of Bob, donations or time can be given to Bob's charities: Nashville Rescue Mission, Sumner or Robertson County CASA or the American Lung Association.
