Betty Terry

Betty Terry went to be with our Lord and savior on Monday, January 23rd at 10:35pm at Northcrest Hospital in Springfield, TN. She was born in west Tennessee on October 15th, 1938. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was a proud and devoted member of Goodlettsville United Pentecostal Church for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her great great grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

The family would like to dedicate this poem to our beloved Mother and Mamaw:

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your hard-working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Robert) Terry; son, William (Karen) Terry; brother, Richard (Angeline) Vickery; grandson, William “Willie” Jones; great grandchildre, Danica (Manzel) Saunders, Rachel Harris and Christian Harris; great great grandchildren, Danzel and Kiara Saunders.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Vickery; father, Harl Vickery; sister, Mary Ann Lee; and granddaughter, Kristy Moody.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 5th at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with a visitation from 12:30-1:30pm prior to the service.
