Betty Landers

Betty Jean Landers, age 84 of Cottontown passed away at her home on December 9, 2022.

She was born on August 31, 1938, in Nashville, TN. She worked for many years as a room mother to not only her children but continued to serve for other children as well. Mrs. Landers loved to garden raising beautiful flowers or cooking a good home cooked meal like her famous chicken and dumplings. After her husband retired, they enjoyed the next fifteen years riding his motorcycle across Tennessee and spending time with family.

Mrs. Landers is preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Hampton.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Landers; children, David Wayne (Luanne) Birdwell, Diane Ellis, Cynthia (Terry) Graves, Elizabeth Clark, Jeannie Landers; grandchildren, Mike Whittenburg, Angie Graves, Todd Clark, Tony Clark and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will have a private family service and committal at Beech Historic Cemetery with Mike Whittenburg, Todd Clark, Tony Clark, Jerry Nordberg, Ron Stalnaker and Tim Lovelace serving as pallbearers.
