COLE, Betty Lou, of The Heritage at Brentwood, left this earth September 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Novice Joe Cole, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Dan Small of Pleasant View, TN., and two sons, Novice Joe Julia Gray Cole, Jr. Joey of Nashville, TN., and Steven Craig Leeann Cole of Kingston Springs, TN. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Emeline Carol Thrash, Novice Joe Cole III Jay, Luther Allen Cole Luke, Austin Craig Cole, and Jackson Kinser Cole. Other survivors include her brother, Joe Nancy Turner of Ashland City, TN., and a niece, Jill Cross, of St. Louis, Mo. Betty and her husband were founders and owners of LU, Inc. Following his death, she carried on the business. Betty and her husband traveled extensively in Europe and the Caribbean, and after her retirement, she continued to enjoy traveling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Neptune United Methodist Church, c/o Donald Cochron, 1175 Justice Rd., Ashland City, TN 37015-6192. Visitation will be held on Friday September 6th from 4-8 p.m. at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100 in Nashville, TN. The funeral will be on September 7th, 2013. A visitation will be held at 10:00a.m. with a service to follow beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Penny Stratton officiating. followed by interment in the mausoleum at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
