Bertha "Aunt" Elsie Travis Buttrey, 83
Went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 25th. She was the last of the 10 children born to Alan Hansford and Sara Bell Pedigo. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse Garfield, William Dessie, Orvel Estes, Delmas Ray, Clear Angelo, Danzel Clay, Ula Gordon, and Jerry Sweeney Pedigo, and 1 sister, Elizabeth Ailsey Gray. She was also preceded in death by 3 husbands, Delston Arno Buttrey, Marvin Buttrey, and William Zeb Travis. She is survived by 1 stepson, George Buttrey Impay, 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Pedigo and Geraldine Pedigo and by her devoted "daughter", her niece, Carrol Gray Darks. Also by a special niece, Judy Cross Floyd and a special nephew, Vernon Gray Loretta. Survivors also include many, many other loving and loved nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and other relatives. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses, technicians and Staff at Christian Care Center of Cheatham County for their dedicated care of "Aunt" during the time she was there. Pallbearers: Floyd Cross, Steven Cross, Tim Jarrell, Wendell Pedigo, Danny Pedigo, and Ralph Pedigo. Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, July 28 from 9:00 AM to service time at 10:00 AM at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Jesse and Neil Pedigo officiating. Burial at Harpeth Hills.
