Bertha Crabtree

CRABTREE, Hilda Rust age 86 passed away July 26, 2007. Her husband, M. Carlie Crabtree preceded her in death. She was born in Bellevue, TN March 27, 1921 and was a member of the Church of Christ. A lifetime resident of Kingston Springs and Pegram, TN. Mrs. Crabtree graduated from William James High School and David Libscomb University. She was a teacher in the Cheatham County School System. She then worked in the field of banking at 1st American National Bank in Nashville and the Bank of Kingston Springs, during which time she was a member and an officer in several Professional Banking Societies. Later she was a Financial Consultant. In her later years, she did extensive Geneology Research and became a Tennessee Historian. She was a constant medical care giver for her husband, Carlie, during his last ten years. They were married fifty-eight years prior to his death in 1997. She is survived by her sons, M.E. "Marv" Crabtree of Brentwood, TN and G. Wayne Marge Crabtree of Pegram, TN; grandchildren, Cathey David Roberts, Emy Stewart, Matthew Ree Crabtree and Andrew Crabtree; great grandsons, Mason and Sam Roberts; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at the West Harpeth Funeral Home from 3-8 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2007 and on Sunday, July 29 from 12 noon until the service time at 2 pm in the chapel of the West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, TN. Honorary Pallbearers: E.B. "Brownie" Spicer, Dr. Bruce E. Richards and Dr. Herbert Schulman. Active Pallbearers: Nephews and friends.
