Preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Lyle Smith, Sr., and Willie Gay Smith, and his sisters, Janette Gant Smith Behm, and Linda Gay Smith. Survived by his wife Helen Smith; children, Penny Smith Gajan (Richard), Julia Smth, and Bernard Lyle Smith III (Angie); grandchildren, Jacob Wheeler, Brittany, Tiffany, and Trey. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 11-2 and 4-8 pm, and where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Beech Cemetery.
