Am Nguyen

NGUYEN, Am Van, was joined to our Lord and Savior on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 2:55 a.m.. Am was born in Vinh Linh, Quang Tri, Vietnam. He was a retired veteran of the Vietnam War. Am's passion was wood working and Chinese chess. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Am was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Diem; son, Minh; six daughters: Tam, Tuyet Suong, Tung, Lien and Trang; 14 grandchildren; brother, Sang Nguyen; and many nieces and nephews who truly love him. Accompanying him also is his chess partner and eldest son, Duc Van Nguyen, who also passed away on the same day at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass for Am and Duc Nguyen will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 2015 West End Ave., Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Nashville Tn.
