Alice Rhea Hoback, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 15,2024, at the age of 88. Born on August 5, 1936, Alice devoted her life to her family and her work, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Alice had a successful career as a buyer at Opryland, where her keen eye for detail and dedication to her role made her a respected figure in her field. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she embodied the spirit of a loving Christian lady, known for her warm-heartedness and generous nature. She was a long time member of Faith is the Victory Church.
Her passions included gardening, fishing, and painting, which not only brought joy to her life but also inspired those around her.
Alice's proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as "Granny." She found immense joy in their laughter and milestones, and her influence will forever be etched in their hearts.
She is survived by her devoted husband the love of her life, Mr. Robert Hoback and they married on April 13, 1956; her children, Robert Hoback and Becky Hoback Eddie; her grandchildren, Christan Hall (Randon), Rebecca P'Simer (Sam), and Brent Essary St John; and her great-grandchildren, Maysen, Desi, Watson, Liam, and Lucy. Alice is also survived by her siblings, Robert Crabtree (Faye) and Nancy Marrison (William).
In addition to her family, Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Crabtree; her granddaughter, Alisan Eddie; and siblings, Sue Ryan, Patsy Crabtree, and Minnie Louise Crabtree.
Alice Hoback’s remarkable life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and creative expression. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her impact will live on through her family, who carry her spirit forward in their own lives.
