Alfred Elias Yazbak

It is with immense sadness and disbelief that we share the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend Alfred Elias Yazbak, who left us on the last day of the year 2024 at the age of 34.

Though "Alfy" struggled, those hardships will never overshadow who he was to us; a man of great strength, will, compassion, and kindness.

Born in Boston on December 9, 1990, Alfy was the third child and second son of Amy and Alfred. Though he spent the last few years of his life in the south, he was a true native of New England. Raised in Connecticut, he explored his creativity through his love of music and cooking. He spent his time going to festivals and shows with friends. The small jungle he grew and his knack for and love of plants reflected the love and nurturing within him.

You could always have a good conversation with Alfy, whether it was about movies and music, or aliens and true crime. Sadly, there is never enough time to say all the things we want to say.

He is survived by his mother Amy; his father Alfred and stepmother Monica; his sister and brother-in-law Katherine and Keith Riley; brothers Peter and Nick; and his son Ryder. There are countless friends, relatives and acquaintances who will miss his presence here with us.

There was a thunderstorm the night of his death, we believe that was his soul ascending, saying goodbye one last time.
