Alfred Tarpley

TARPLEY, Alfred E. "Al" passed away on January 31, 2008. Mr. Tarpley was a WWII veteran and retired from the Navy after 23 years of service as a Boatswains Mate 1st class. He had 50 years of service for Bruce Hardwood Floors. He was one of the founders of Nashville Christian School. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Louise M. Tarpley; daughter, Lynn Tim Jenkins; son, Larry Tarpley; grandchildren, Lee Luna, Kyle Jenkins, Aaron Jenkins, Nicki Justin Cole, and Keith Jenkins; sisters, Betty Edward Kenimer, Louise Malcolm; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with military honors service to follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.
